Lug nut cutting

I did on my 1500. I just used a angle grinder with a cutoff wheel. It zipped right trough them. You can see how much i removed by the piece on top of the spacer. I followed up with a chamfer bit on the studs after I cut them to round them off.

I did mine almost exactly same way after I read your post about a year ago. The only things I did differently was I put the nuts on the lugs before I cut to be able to clear / rethread the threads when i backed them off. I also put a wet rag on the lugs as I cut to help absorb some of the heat from cutting.
