Has anyone had a shop or if you’re mechanically inclined to do it yourself, ever done the permanent AFM delete on their ZR2, where you take the engine down to where you replace the cam and springs, etc. The AFM delete kit? Wondering if anyone has done it. I know it’ll void the warranty, but theres a GM guy that has a very huge following on his YouTube channel that did it. Just curious if anyone on here has done it, and what the cost would be to buy the kit and have someone do it, or whether it’s even worth doing, to permanently have your 6.2L be totally free of cylinder deactivation

Scoggins Dickey came up with the kit if i remember correctly. That's the best way to do it, if you're keeping the truck a long time. I believe it is around $3K to have it done?

I would totally do that if I knew someone trustworthy to do it lol.

They have a couple different locations. Not sure where they are , but easy to find. They may recommend a shop if they are not close by. They have to re-program your ECU to not look for the DFM/ AFM garbage.

Dave’s Auto in Utah is selling complete L87s without the DFM, but his engines are $11,500 with the core charge 👀 At least you get free shipping with it!

I know Texas speed and a few other companies sell the parts for it too, if you can find a good engine builder or if you wanna do it yourself.
