Hey everyone,

You’ve probably seen the security footage: someone walks up to a pickup, disconnects the wiring harness, and makes off with a factory tailgate in about a minute. The factory quick-release design leaves it completely exposed to opportunistic theft.

To help address this, we designed a bolt-on anti-theft lock. Specifically designed for 2019–2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 models with a Standard Tailgate, including WT/Custom/Custom Trail Boss/LT/RST/LT Trail Boss/LTZ/High Country/ZR2. (Note: Not compatible with Multi-Flex tailgates).

By covering the passenger-side hinge with a solid steel barrier, this lock significantly increases the time and effort required to remove the tailgate—raising the criminal cost and helping deter opportunistic thieves looking for an easy target.

The bracket is built from carbon steel with a black powder-coated finish. Installation takes minutes with zero drilling, using the existing hinge holes. It fastens with specialized security screws that require the custom wrench included in the kit.

If you frequently park in public or on the street, adding a hinge lock is a practical way to protect your gear.
