Replacement speakers?

I've been thinking about replacing the pathetic stock speakers in my truck. I've searched and found some threads that had some good info. However, I'm not looking to do a full blown system in my truck and I know that's going to be the suggestion from several people. I just want to find some better sounding speakers to throw in to hopefully brighten up the sound. Went on Crutchfield's website and was hit with like 220 something matches for speakers that "fit" but I want to hear some real suggestions from people who have done this in their truck and kept the factory amp in place. What speakers did you go with and did they make an honest improvement?
