What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? šŸ› ļø

Took the truck out to Freeman Park to spend the day out on the beach, air’d down to 30 and floated just fine over the sand. Next step is to take it out to OBX and camp out!
opinion no one asked for- Personally I wouldn't bother airing down if you're only going to 30psi. Your contact patch increase is probably only 5-10% larger than if you were at 40psi, and ride softness increase would be negligible . I say this as someone who grew up solely wheeling in super soft sand where you'd get bogged running anything above 16psi. That beach looks pretty firm, so I know it's not comparable, but only dropping to 30psi seems like more effort than it's worth to me

Did some gear in the back, some stickers and a plate. So far

No, They just slide out and are clipped into the bed tie down points. you can strap stuff to them then strap them to the tie down points and then use a cargo net and nothing moves

They look nice! Where did you get them?

I've had the Freedom Blade installed for a couple weeks now, but I'm still in the middle of going OCD on the truck's wiring so it hasn't been operational...so today amongst other minor stuff I decided to temporarily make the "under hood" connections... I didn't realize how many startup options the model has.

Well....I hit a deer this morning. I had a little over 2 seconds from the time I saw her until I hit her according to my dash cam.Screenshot_20260413_074830_Video Player.webp

Giving me PTSD. Never hit a deer in my life, the night before I traded in my last truck for this ZR2 I clipped one, came from the same direction, traded it in with fresh blood and hair still on the bumper.

Glad youre ok. Im guessing about $8K in damage.
Thanks, I really appreciate it.

DANG! I'm still living in the 90s figuring the price of things. I'll let you know how close you are. I'm dropping it off in the morning.

Its crazy how fast those things appear! My truck is in the same shape as the one you traded in. Hair all over it and something that I'm not sure what it is. I'm just thankful I was in my truck rather than a car. She probably would have come over the hood of a car.

When I had the 1500, it got hit on the same front corner. Was a bit over $8K in damage. This was a year ago. I would say dont forget to ask for the depreciated value but since its your own insurance, they would just raise rates more to cover lol.

Thanks for the advice. You're right about the depreciated value šŸ˜†

If anyone is wondering about the quality of the CZmenghe marker lights, I can say they are pretty dang good. The deer hit right where the drivers side marker was. All it did was push it through the grill and its still working 🤘😁

It's crazy how much damage a deer can do... had one total a Honda Accord one time. She smiled at me as she slid up the window and rained down deer parts on the car behind me.

I bet the people behind you were thinking "WHAT THE HELL". Thats when the wife turns to the husband and ask in a quiet, shaky voice "Harold, is that a hoof stuck behind the windshield wiper?!" 🤣🤣
