What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

A new coating of what?

Ive been using Cerakote Ceramic coat in my vehicles since about 2 years, but then I saw this Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax in the hardware store at $17.00 and decided to give it a try in the new ZR2. It's easy to apply and to buff off and gives a very shiny look and beads water nicely too. To the "sliding bottle" test, it does not leave a smooth surface that allows the bottle to slide in slopes of the shined paint like Cerakote product do, but still, the shine is very beautiful and one might say it is easier to apply since it is not a liquid, it will only go where you apply it, Cerakote is a misty spray liquid that feels like it's flying everywhere.

Another “haul her home” Sunday to pick up my father in laws skid steer after 8 months of disaster relief in the Asheville, NC area to make the 2 1/2 hour trek back home. The heaviest haul I’ve done with it so far and pulled like a dream. Many thanks to @AXE for the insight to make sure I had everything set for success.

Happy to hear it was a good trip! Looks like a great setup for hauling! These rigs sure do tow great!

Also props to your father in law and all the others helping with the cleanup in North Carolina. That was a brutal natural disaster and I've watched many videos on the efforts of all the people to assist. Americans can't be beat, cause we're just too damned tough and determined!

Uh, 1 small question. GM says their trucks can't handle heavy loads like what you show. Um; Since the picture does not show what is front of the Vehicle, I have to ask If you are towing the trailer, who is towing the truck? 😜

You are correct with that statement, GM says those trucks can handle the heavy loads. So, what's the point of your question?

edit: Nice edit dude. I see you changed can to can't.

Swapped out the sport steps for the high clearance steps.
I plan to do the same thing this summer. My local dealership had the Rough Country steps installed on the truck when I purchased it new back in November. Any steps are better than no steps, but I think the factory high clearance steps look the best. Did you purchase through a dealer or elsewhere?

I found them on FB marketplace. They came off a GMC 2500 but fit the same on the 1500s.
