What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

I ran the Rancho 9000 XLs on my first Duramax with a 6 inch lift. The compression adjustability was a nice feature and was especially helpful when towing heavy. I also ran air bags.

I wouldn't say they were on par with the 2500HD Multimatics, but for $400-500, they are a good option that adds a lot of flexibility to adjust ride for different conditions.

I would have to try them to compare, but wouldn't expect the same ride quality. So I'd say, Muktimatics or Fox 2.5 or Elka.

The Ranchos primarily have 9 levels of compression adjustability, but you have to adjust manually using a dial on the shock. I would primarily run them in the middle for daily driving and full compression towing. It worked on that rig, but the Multimatics hsve a broad range of dampening without the need to make adjustments and thats the beauty.

The Ranchos are nitrogen filled and have a huge shock tube, so they do well and don't fade much when your working them. Very good shocks for the money. Shock Surplus has a decent review.

100% AXE. They cost me $400 on Amazon and my buddy's dealership installed them. Very happy with the difference and they definitely smooth out the ride a lot.

Since I got the truck back, I added the black and red 6.2L, black and red ZR2 on the grill and the black flow tie.

I was thinking about doing mine in blue to match my glacier blue truck like yours. What do you think?

Ive been using Cerakote Ceramic coat in my vehicles since about 2 years, but then I saw this Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax in the hardware store at $17.00 and decided to give it a try in the new ZR2. It's easy to apply and to buff off and gives a very shiny look and beads water nicely too. To the "sliding bottle" test, it does not leave a smooth surface that allows the bottle to slide in slopes of the shined paint like Cerakote product do, but still, the shine is very beautiful and one might say it is easier to apply since it is not a liquid, it will only go where you apply it, Cerakote is a misty spray liquid that feels like it's flying everywhere.

Another “haul her home” Sunday to pick up my father in laws skid steer after 8 months of disaster relief in the Asheville, NC area to make the 2 1/2 hour trek back home. Happy to hear it was a good trip! Looks like a great setup for hauling! These rigs sure do tow great!

Also props to your father in law and all the others helping with the cleanup in North Carolina. That was a brutal natural disaster and I've watched many videos on the efforts of all the people to assist. Americans can't be beat, cause we're just too damned tough and determined!

Uh, 1 small question. GM says their trucks can handle heavy loads like what your shows. Um; Since the picture does not show what is front of the Vehicle, I have to ask If you are towing the trailer, who is towing the truck?
