Finally got my hands on the Global B Compatible steps. Spent about 6 hours installing them on Saturday. Most of that time is spent finding a much cleaner way of routing the wiring and controller under the hood.

The instructions leave much to be desired on the “method”…..Instructing to zip tie the wiring to the ends of the cowl clips, effectively letting it hang in plain sight on the top of the engine. Running the wiring to the inside of the coolant tank vs the outside. It’s an absolute spaghetti harness that is… challenging to say the least to pull and feed so it’s a proper OEM looking install.

You will have frame wax to your elbows and all over your clothes. Be warned.

Also, running the wiring as you see you have absolutely zero margin for error in terms of length. Especially down the drivers side. It JUST makes it.

I elected not to install the LEDs as they are 10K Blue and look much too “Autozone Mods” for my taste. All the wiring is ran and you can see one of the extra pigtails in one of the photos.

Amp if you’re reading this, cut us some slack. Pun intended.

Mine arrived this week and are scheduled for install on Friday. I’m really looking forward to having them! Hope they are as awesome as I’m expecting!

I had these on my 1 ton truck prior to my ZR2. I love the look when they are retracted, but they do nothing to help protect the paint, look odd when deployed, and constantly get jammed up if you drive in mud or snow. The little motors just aren't strong enough to function through a little mud gunk.

The other pro on a diesel chevy is they block the view of the donkey pee tank under the passenger door.

To each their own.

I think the “extreme” steps would be better fitted for a mud cake situation. I’d definitely invest in the “quad motor” steps if I lived in a extreme environment. Besides the clear coat boiling UV of Florida.

I hate the look of steps whatsoever on any truck. Why I went with AMP’s can’t tell they are there. And in my opinion look as crappy as any other side step when deployed.

Wheres a good place to order these steps? I want to make sure they are compatible with the zr2. Also what's the difference between the XL and these?

I ordered mine from real truck. I called and asked if they had any sales and they offered to knock 100 bucks off.

Always order by part number. The (refresh steps are # AMP-76255-01A)

The XL series is an even lower drop on deployment. ( 3” lower) Absolutely unnecessary unless you are in the 6 plus lift club.

Awesome. Thanks!

So from the pull body options it asking me to pick LTD or new body(22), the new body does show the correct part number, is that the right one?
