Finally got around to doing the rear differential today. Mine took full gallon of 75w90 geat oil. Was supposed to be 3.75 quarts. Real beefy axle and looked really nice inside.
I have 15k on mine and have done quite a bit of heavy towing, 75-80 mph highway miles, and lots of hot temps (100-115F). The fluid was pretty dirty and there was plenty of sludge on the bottom and diff cover as you can see in the photos.
Real easy to pull this cover, since there's plenty of room, especially if you have an electric ratchet.
Ran out of fluid so didn't get to do the front one.
