Hi all,
Wanted to share a couple of passion projects we’ve been working on for the Silverado ZR2. We wanted to fix a few daily driving annoyances and add a luxury feature GM honestly should've included from the factory.
Check out the videos and pics attached to see them in action! Here is the quick breakdown of what we developed:
1. Budget DFM & Auto Start/Stop Disabler
Let’s be real—current market options cost an arm and a leg. Tired of those crazy price tags for something that should be simple, we engineered our own budget-friendly version. It kills both DFM and the annoying engine drop-out without breaking the bank.
2. Custom "Smart" Auto Hold Module
Missing the Auto Hold feature from my old Audi SUV, I searched Google and couldn't find anyone making a solid option for GM trucks. So, we built it from scratch:
Red-Light Hold: In Drive (D), hold the brake pedal for 5 seconds and it automatically engages the electronic parking brake (EPB) so you can relax your foot and prevent rollback. Tap the gas to smoothly drive off.
Auto-Park: Automatically pulls the electronic parking brake the exact second you shift into Park (P) for maximum safety.
Both mods have been working flawlessly in our testing. As we wrap up development, we wanted to throw this out to the ZR2 community first.
