Well, I’m stranded !! 570 miles on a 2026

Can anyone give me some advice on what I should or can do about my truck? It’s still at dealership and they are just experimenting on solutions to fix this “misfire”. The claim with GM is pretty much useless. I just got off the phone with them. They throw everything back on the dealership, the dealership throws everything back on GM. I typed up a nice email last night and sent to all of the executive branch for Hendrick Chevrolet. Haven’t got a response yet today. North Carolina is probably one of the strictest states for lemon laws in favor of the dealerships instead of the consumer. So lemon law attorneys offered me no help unless my vehicle is in the shop past 30 days.
I think you're just gonna have to ride it out. I would personally have another dealer look at it. Call another service advisor and see what they say.

1. Document everything including person, place and time. Should you meet parameters for lemon law claim you'll need all that. You can't be too detailed in your documentation.
2. Make them provide a loaner - that should be your "goal" right now. Doing that makes the dealership have a bit of skin in the game.
3. Get over the idea of "I'm not taking it back". Good or bad you've entered into a relationship with the vehicle. Dealerships and brands don't give away or authorize "do overs".
4. Try to get any and all commitments from GM or dealership in writing. The spoken word means nothing.
5. Once you obtain a loaner try to be patient and let the dealership work through the process - all they are doing is burning time which gets you closer to lemon law eligibility.
6. Don't say or do anything you'll regret. You don't have to be nice or naive but being a total ass won't help you at this point.

Good luck and keep us all updated.

How's this for leadership! Jack up the prices another 15% to cover last years failures and warranty work. They want $83k for a new 1500 ZR2..........JFC......thats 2500HD pricing! Just seen this at the dealer.

We all know that nitrogen filled tires are at least $800 ($200/tire); ceramic window tint is $500; PPF door edge guards and cups are around $500. Hell, the lug nuts alone are worth $500. So that's not a bad deal at all..................................................

Don’t forget the lojack for $1895 because you know Onstar can’t do that kind of stuff

I'm with Axe, just deal with it.
I don't think you qualify for chevy buy back or lemon law. It's the first time your truck is in the shop and both programs either need you to have multiple same issues or a ridiculous amount of time spent in the shop.
When I tried the buy back they did call me and ask if truck was in the shop, yes it is.
Next day I happened to get truck back and chevy quit talking to me.
Then they told the dealer I bought a truck somewhere else. Turns out Mrs EZ bought a new Acura and it came up in their system. Not even sure why they told the dealer anything.
It's frustrating and some of us have been there done that.
I didn't want to spend time with lemon laws and all that so I decided it was best to just buy another truck.

Yep it 100% sucks and Id be pissed but, the bad thing is, that is why the warranty exists in the first place. Shit happens.

Now as far as why they cant figure it out? They suck too lol.

Update. Just got a call from the general manager. Engineers nor their techs can’t figure out the issue so I get a replacement. Going tomorrow to pick out something that’s not a 6.2.

Do they sell Hondas too? Cause your Chevrolet experience is in it's infancy. If you think that chicken shit little 3.0L diesel is going to be more reliable, pull up YouTube and Reddit and you'll figure out right quick that one has plenty of problems too. These MFers all have the same junk parts in them, Mary Bad Timing Belt Barra made sure of that. It's the GM grab bag........so it shall be!
