I always laugh when I read a post “got the truck back today and everything is fixed “. GM isn’t capable of fixing much let alone their tech.

Bringing this thread back, has anoyone had any luck recently with this update / tried the labor code or bulletin number? I have a 22' ZR2 and would love for it to not show an LTZ...Has anyone had success with your dealership in updating the dash and infotainment screen with the ZR2 animations? I saw a video on YouTube where someone got this update from his dealership after having issues with the cluster showing a Tahoe vs a truck. I called my local dealership and they had no idea what I was talking about.
Below is the YouTube link. It’s a long video but if you go to the end you can see the graphics.
Thanks all
Thanks man! I am taking it in tomorrow and there are about 3 deanships in 45-minute radius so I will trial and error with the bulletins provided. Posted this to see if there had been any new ones since the last thread.Yes. Many have already had it done. @8ball_99 left a lot of information about this subject in a string couple years ago. Some guys have had issues and the dealerships play stupid, but if that happens. ust find another dealer and take them the bulletin. When it shows a Tahoe or an LTZ or anything else than a ZR2 the computer is programmed for that specific vehicle That's because the tech is too lazy to find the right cluster animation file and just load the next nearest thing. Take the bulletin number and print it out and take it to a dealership and if they say they don't know what it is, move it up to the service manager and if that person plays stupid.... Then find another dealership!!!
I know for some people It's easier because they have multiple choices but others the dealerships are a longer drive. Took me all of 45 minutes to get it done on mine.
I have a 22 also
Not that I know of, But I don't really keep up with that topic and have not seen what's posted about it in a while..Thanks man! Interesting in that the display has no impact at all on the ECM or TCM...it's just a screen...maybe it's all in your headWhen I had mine done and they programmed it correctly I can tell a major difference in the way that the truck drove
how much did that run you?The dealership actually had to replace the dash cluster to get mine to work, but now I have the correct ZR2 displayed!
It's the new shoes effect, because we all know they make you run faster!Interesting in that the display has no impact at all on the ECM or TCM...it's just a screen...maybe it's all in your head![]()
100%It's the new shoes effect, because we all know they make you run faster!
that is my plan for tomorrow. It's the simple things...I have 22 as well. Took mine in 6 months ago to have a trim issue resolved. Since they already had it, I mentioned the wrong vehicle was showing in the driver display. I didn't mention the bulletin, but was prepared to provide if needed. Update took about 45 mins, no charge. They did NOT update the center screen, so it's mismatched. With others reporting a dealer charge and it bricking their screen, I called it a win and left the center screen as is.
