Bourbon Talk

Not really a straight Bourbon guy...what Bourbon would you all recommend for an Old Fashioned?
Bulliet is a good whisky for mixing and not too expensive. I like the rye, but the regular is good too. It's a decent sipper too, just nothing that's gonna wow you.

If you want to test the waters, Bulliet now sells some pre-mixed Old Fashioned and Manhattan drinks. They are decent tasting and convenient when I go camping, so I don't have to bring all the ingredients. They aren't expensive in general, but if you like them it's better to spend on separate ingredients.

Yea that’s a great idea. Penelope also makes one.

These pre-mixed ones from Suntory are also decent. Frys/Kroger has them on sale right now for $10, usually $13-15.

The thing about the premixed ones is that you can't adjust the ingredients. I like certain proportions in my Manhattan and also the Vermouth from Rossi, so mixing is good for that.
