Just picked up this baller rig! Got her on the charger, only 14 hours til full battery.

It's a Chrysler Pacifica, really nice interior. Lots of gizmos and plush seating. DIC and Infotainment screen is really nice. Stereo sounds really great.

Dont let the battery go dead. Buddy of mine is a service manager at a Jeep dealer. Its a disaster if it does!

Good to know! When I picked it up from the rental lot, it was showing <1% and I drove 30 miles. Got 33 mpg tho.

I'm about to start a 1500 mile trip, so not sure what to think. I haven't a clue about finding a fast charger. It does regenerate while driving.

Not sure why but I can totally see you owning one of those bad boys. How many cup holders does it have?

It's not worth charging it on a public fast charger. The rates vary a lot and often can be similar or more then gas prices. Besides, Tesla is the only one to have public chargers sorta figured out. That van has a small battery anyway. Probably like the other Chrysler plug-in stuff, good for about 40 miles or so on electric only. Worth charging at home and leaving in hybrid mode on a trip. But trying to keep it charged and running on battery only is more for short commutes.

Yep. I charged it and got <50 miles on a full charge leaving town. At one point, I did about 30% of the miles electric, so 50/150 the first two hours. Then I ran fuel, so the battery did a little charging over the run and I got about 200 miles off electrical in 1600 miles. It was pulling 32+ mpg under 75 mph. I ran 85 mph through some of Wyoming and Montana, so at one point it dropped below 30 mpg.

This was a pretty nice rig for a road trip. It was really comfortable seating, so I pulled two 12.5 hour shifts and made the run in 24+ hours.

This rig would be ideal if you were commuting to work and dropping the kids off at school with daily trips around 50 miles.

I got where i needed to go. I hate sitting so low and you don't get as much respect on the road in a grocery getter.

Chrysler did a nice job with this rig.
