I'm sure this has been asked a bunch of times before, but I'm new to this forum and haven't had a chance to search yet. Have a 22 Silverado ZR2. Has anyone found a set of fender flares that will fit the ZR2 without modifications?

what do you mean by no modifications? bolt on?I'm sure this has been asked a bunch of times before, but I'm new to this forum and haven't had a chance to search yet. Have a 22 Silverado ZR2. Has anyone found a set of fender flares that will fit the ZR2 without modifications?
Yes, bolt on, clip on, whatever. Just don't wanna get fender flares for a regular Silverado and have to cut and modify them to fit the ZR2.what do you mean by no modifications? bolt on?
check out AEV but they may be just for bison. FiberwerX makes some nice fiberglass stuff. not too much because of our unique front end. good luck. also try search here.Yes, bolt on, clip on, whatever. Just don't wanna get fender flares for a regular Silverado and have to cut and modify them to fit the ZR2.
I wouldn’t see why any aftermarket flare wouldn’t work. Bedsides/fenders for the ZR2 are the same sheetmetal with holes punched for the factory ones.Yes, bolt on, clip on, whatever. Just don't wanna get fender flares for a regular Silverado and have to cut and modify them to fit the ZR2.
hmm. thought we had unique front fenders due to bumper.I wouldn’t see why any aftermarket flare wouldn’t work. Bedsides/fenders for the ZR2 are the same sheetmetal with holes punched for the factory ones.
You’ll just have open holes under the aftermarkets. I don’t think any application specific options exist.
dude said he was looking for bolt on no cut. i kinda like the Fiberwerx fenders, price not bad but rears are too much imo.Wasn’t thinking about the bumper height. The fender itself is the same minus the holes. But the front plastic trim is shortened to accommodate it. Effectively changing the opening.
The Fiberwerx fenders are nice but I like the look of the riveted fender flares. Had them on my Trail Boss and was hoping to get them for my ZR2, but I guess I'm gonna have to find something different. Or get a set for a normal Silverado and modify them to fit my ZR2.dude said he was looking for bolt on no cut. i kinda like the Fiberwerx fenders, price not bad but rears are too much imo.
Colorado at least got full Chevrolet performance support. What gives?I’ve seen them on two trucks before:
Glacier Blue 2022 in Hawaii new mods
I really have enjoyed this forum and it has helped me many times in support and ideas. I have been working on my 2022 ZR2 for about 6 months now with these mods now completed. Borla S-type exhaust, Kicker subwoofer, GM Silverado side rock steps, Roll-N-Lock retractable bed cover, X rails inside...www.chevyzr2.comBut I think they modified regular silverado flares. The ZR2 is just so much of a smaller market that there isn’t much specifically designed for them.Paint to Match Front Bumper!
Thought this looked wild and had to share. Not to sure how I feel about it right now... Definitely stands out!www.chevyzr2.com
Exactly! You would think that after being in production for a few years that someone would make them.Colorado at least got full Chevrolet performance support. What gives?
Total BS. You can bet on the T1-2 ZR2 being a more baked offering than our Trail Boss+ pro max.Exactly! You would think that after being in production for a few years that someone would make them.
Decent body shop can cut the flares weld a section in and retexture the plastic so it’s uniform. Nothing is impossible.Guess I'm just gonna have to get normal Silverado fender flares and cut down the front pair to fit the ZR2. The rear flares will fit no problem. It's just the fronts that need to be cut cause of the bumper.
I'll post up some pictures once I finally do it. Probably gonna do it in the next few weeks coming. My truck is all black so I might just leave them the flat black that they come in instead of painting them gloss black. The standard flat black will sorta match the stock flares that are on there now.
True, but i like doing everything myself.Decent body shop can cut the flares weld a section in and retexture the plastic so it’s uniform. Nothing is impossible.
I respect that. But I know what plastic welders cost.True, but i like doing everything myself.
Yeah, you have a good point. I might have to look into a body shop like you said. It might be cheaper in the long run.I respect that. But I know what plastic welders cost.
The option is out there.
