Ya see, where I'm from they have checked a few times on our job sites. Years ago, back in the 90's, my boss at the time got caught running red fuel in a few of the single axle dump trucks. At that time way back in the 90's he got fined $1000 per tank for each truck that had red fuel in it. That was 30 years ago. Couldn't imagine what the fine would be now.

I'd run it if I could find it near me. It's on every corner and in every tank at the farm, so I like to add a splash now and then.
If I was President instead of starting wars we never win in shithole countries nobody cares about, I'd kill every fuel tax and save Americans money. Then use the $20 trillion we spent on wars (not getting any land or resources) to build the roads we deserve, not the shitty ones we have. People would be saying "please Mr. President stop, we can't take all the winning".
But instead I voted 3X for a lying shitbag that gets his foreign policy advice from foreigners and Gay Lindsey Graham.

Our entire government, from local dog catcher, all the way to POTUS, is nothing more than puppets having their strings pulled by promises of power and mo money. F them all. That and 90% of the population is too dumb, too fucked up, or too self absorbed to notice. Mostly dumb I think. We all deserve what’s coming because we allowed it to happen. Happy trails!

Yeah, the market definitely didn’t like to hear that we don’t really care about reopening the strait. I still lean towards we will do so but the pieces aren’t in place yet and there’s still time to see if anyone else steps up to help. So far, UAE is making a push to join in and is going to the UN about it as well. IMO Europe is again waiting on us to do the heavy lifting and that will most likely not work out how they think it will because we’re not going to do it for free knowing Trump.
The quip of buying their oil from us, I think was made in passing but if that comes to pass would create a massive geopolitical shift. However, it would also give China more access to the supplies in the Gulf which the loss of has really put a hurting on them.
I see the moves made this year (Venezuela and now Iran) as moves to protect the petrodollar and further weaken the BRICS coalition by strengthening the dollar.
I’m probably wrong on a lot of this but it’s how I see things right now.

The actions of politicians become easier to understand once you view them from a position of power. Ie how does this current thing increase their control over the citizens and strengthen their grip on their position of power.

I don’t see that changing as the majority of truly good and moral men want nothing to do with politics above the local level.

Very true. It’s reached a point that voting is pointless. A good moral person wanting to run will be destroyed financially and reputationally by the people pulling the strings if their priorities don’t align with TPTb. It’s sad. Watching the republic die. It was a good run.

This is the correct assessment of the current situation. We simply have very little representation in the government anymore.
One thing that has become painfully obvious is we got all the boomer geriatrics that are 80 yeas old and still trying to be relevant and they simply aren't connected to current reality, nor do they give a shit cause they've gotten rich off all the bad decisions they've made.

It's sickening! I seen some maths the other day and it basically said we are so far gone that we will be adding $1T per year or more to the national debt. We just rolled $39T and I think $40T will happen faster than ever, especially when we'll have to replenish our military supplies and pay for rebuilding Gaza and Iran.
