$$$ FUEL UP $$$

Yeah, the market definitely didn’t like to hear that we don’t really care about reopening the strait. I still lean towards we will do so but the pieces aren’t in place yet and there’s still time to see if anyone else steps up to help. So far, UAE is making a push to join in and is going to the UN about it as well. IMO Europe is again waiting on us to do the heavy lifting and that will most likely not work out how they think it will because we’re not going to do it for free knowing Trump.
The quip of buying their oil from us, I think was made in passing but if that comes to pass would create a massive geopolitical shift. However, it would also give China more access to the supplies in the Gulf which the loss of has really put a hurting on them.
I see the moves made this year (Venezuela and now Iran) as moves to protect the petrodollar and further weaken the BRICS coalition by strengthening the dollar.
I’m probably wrong on a lot of this but it’s how I see things right now.
I see it as the opposite! I think the petro dollar is gonna be dead soon enough and this gets us there quicker. We lifted sanctions on Russian oil and they are gonna make a fortune and keep Iran well armed. ChiNa will support Iran, so long as they continue to trade oil in the Yuan. ChiNa and Russia are the biggest beneficiaries, especially with our mounting debt and dependence on foreign countries for our goods. If Iran teams up with Oman and finishes settting up their toll booth on the SOH, they will also benefit.

Remember this entire war was orchestrated to weaken America by further destroying our economy. We were the only thing standing in the way, but we got fooled. Europe is seeing this and they are now disconnecting and have no interest in this war.

If your not familiar with the Committee of 300, there's a great video explaining how the world is run. America never really has been in control. But they used our people to achieve their objectives.

I rest my case! American oil is now more expensive than European/Middle Eastern oil.....yee haw!

Well I’m jealous that Costco sells diesel, they certainly don’t anywhere around me. Regular and premium are your options.
They don't around here either. I miss that as when I used premium in my last truck they were cheapest in town.

Costco hasn’t been the cheapest here in years and charges the same price as others in the area around it. Locally Walmart is the cheapest with premium at $3.99 today. It’s down from $4.67 mid last week. I’m thinking it hit $4.83 but I was between fuel stops so I missed that.

This is the correct assessment of the current situation. We simply have very little representation in the government anymore.

One thing that has become painfully obvious is we got all the boomer geriatrics that are 80 yeas old and still trying to be relevant and they simply aren't connected to current reality, nor do they give a shit cause they've gotten rich off all the bad decisions they've made.
This is very true. I’ve developed a real dislike of the boomer class. My parents are boomers so it’s hard but, I think even my Dad sees what I see. I live amongst many of them here in Gods waiting room (SWFL) and they are arrogant, most entitled group of people on the planet. I have zero time for them. My favorite 6 words from January to the end of April…Get The Fuck Out My Way! The boomers are basically destroying my kids and grandkids futures. F them!

Yeah, the Boomers are an interesting cohort. We get some of them here in AZ too.

My Dad's 81 and is still working. Doesn't need to, but likes to get shit done. Mom and many others were the same. I think it really depends upon the individuals and where they came from. Mine came from farm country and it's how a lot of people are.

My ol man hates the government and politicians more than I do. Never had a good thing to say about them. Probably where I get it from. The IRS just sent him another bill from a couple years ago saying he underpaid. He's fucking livid, cause of what he pays every year. He gets his SS payment and pays it back 10X every year. You shouldn't have to pay taxes at that age so these crooks can piss it away.

My Dad is similar in age and has come to the conclusion that nothing good comes from DC. Look at all the poor decisions coming from DC. War, more debt, silly policies. All of them are being driven and supported by boomers. Literally, all of it! Respect your elders is no longer a belief I have.

One of the primary characteristics of our current government is that you have to be stoopid, a grifter, a crook, or owned by lobbyists/foreign interests. It's been a long while since government was actually "for the people, by the people".

We'd need to eliminate 50% of the government to be able to keep it in check. Its so fucking bloated, nobody even knows what's happening or who's in charge of it.

Sad thing is I dont ever see it going back. I believe the US will fall before anything great comes back around again. We had our run as the beacon of light in the dark. Now we are just a glimmer.

We're gonna find out by Monday how just how much bigger of a hole they want to dig for us. Something will have to give sooner or later as we further divide the country and run up the debt.

Back on track.....:)
Just fueled up diesel today for 4.58.

50% is just scratching the surface. It’s easily more like 95% That’s the reason the republic as we know it is in its last days. The only chance we have now is to remove these people. By the use of force because the voting game is rigged against the people. The problem is that brings a world none of us want to live in. But that world will come. Whether we like it or not. It’s just a matter of when, not if.

Well maybe the rig count will be up next week so I can enjoy it!

Yep, they want us all broke, demoralized, and defeated so they can shit on us at will. Time to change the trajectory.

Diesel is about $6:25-$6.50. I saw diesel at $6.71 the other day.....91 octane is about $5.50 to $6 (depending on where you go and how close you are to the strip) in Las Vegas, NV.

Cost me about $130 to fill the tank only to get average 215 mi. Unless I go out of town and run freeway speeds, my best tank in town has been about 230 mi.
Been riding the wife's ass about the way she drives. I told her if she didn't quit driving like Dale Earhart I was going to take the ultimate 9 throttle controller away or lock it in valet mode! 🤬 I have it set at ultimate 3 right now and do my best to be light-footed. Sometimes she cranks it up to five or six.

It's only about 14 miles round trip to the bus yard where she works. (She drives the double decker deuces on the strip for the RTC) I filled the tank the other day and when I parked it for the night it said 236 till empty...... She took it to work and came back home next day and it said 170......🤬🤬🤬

Work has been slow the past few months so the wife has been driving it more than me lately, but if this keeps up she's going to be taking the bus to work 🤣

I'd run it if I could find it near me. It's on every corner and in every tank at the farm, so I like to add a splash now and then.

If I was President instead of starting wars we never win in shithole countries nobody cares about, I'd kill every fuel tax and save Americans money. Then use the $20 trillion we spent on wars (not getting any land or resources) to build the roads we deserve, not the shitty ones we have. People would be saying "please Mr. President stop, we can't take all the winning".

But instead I voted 3X for a lying shitbag that gets his foreign policy advice from foreigners and Gay Lindsey Graham.

I know that some on this forum drive a full size, 4WD pickup because they need to whether that be work or pleasure activities (I have one to pull a bassboat and a full size truck does it best). I think some drive these vehicles for "image" - and if this is a daily driver that image is getting a bit expensive. 4 years ago we bought our first EV and now have our second - a Porsche Macan EV. The Macan EV has a 100 kW battery. In town that vehicle can easily go 350 miles on that 100 kW battery due to regeneration on braking. I can "fill" the vehicle in my garage as needed overnight on 240v circuit at an electricity price of $0.05 per kW. So, the summary is we can go 350 miles as a daily driver for an energy cost of $5.00. Consider that and compare that to daily driver cost of an ICE vehicle. You want performance? Try accelerating in an EV. I know the downfalls also - access to charging when traveling, reduced range in winter, etc. Still - for some perhaps it's time to open your mind to alternate possibilities.

Does that make you feel good? Serious question. The image of an eleven year old child working for 2 cents a day in some lithium mine covered in toxic chemicals would haunt my dreams. Not to mention the complete destruction of an entire eco system around the mine. That’s just me though. Carry on.
