Infiniti audio app

Mine seems to be working great, prob hit and miss with each truck. I think lower and mid volume is where it fills in nicely. I've got a passenger window going up and down with a mind of its own, thinking it's this damn app! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
LOL......I had mine cut out 3 times in a row when I adjusted the stock EQ yesterday doing some more testing. I raised an eyebrow too. This is really gonna fuck with securityguy.

For me it does improve it a little bit. I still need to play with the settings. I saw this app before I got my ZR2 and didn’t download it on my 24 with the gm kicker sub. I was already on the prowl for the new truck.

The kicker sub sounds better to me than the Infiniti app. The kicker provided a little more thump. Initial impressions of the Infiniti app produces a little boost, not as good as the kicker.

I don’t think I will add the gm kicker sub again. Thinking of going a different route.

Leaning towards trying this

IF you throw those under your rear seat, how do you get it to stay put? It's the only reason I went with the OEM Kicker. Although, I am thinking of just adding redoing the entire system to my list of things to do one day lol.

Did a full reset of the headunit and still no difference in the use of the Infiniti app. Again, not going to sweat it. If the dealer will check for an update next time I go in, great. If not, I'm not losing sleep over this one and may just delete it from my apps.

I seen a guy with a smaller unit bolt it down to the floor mat, cut the existing storage bin and put brackets on them to attach to the box as well

My 24 sounds better than 22, so I haven't messed with it. To some degree, the amp is only gonna push the music so far before it distorts. So you may not see as much benefit anyway, especially if your not streaming from Bluetooth apps.

I have a 500 mile road trip coming up, so I might try it and see. But I'm not too concerned if it doesn't do much.

I have a small 6 inch Skar Audio box passive sub in my boat and it sounds great with a basic stereo system and Kicker speakers. If you wanted something that fits and sounds good, it would work.

There are also a host of tube style subs that are not big that would fit in the storage compartment. You're not gonna win any competitions, but for under $200 you'll get decent bass.

My son in law has some 12" Skar Audio speakers and amp in their Cherokee. Shit hits pretty hard. However, I keep reading people say Skar sucks. Not sure how true it is or not mind you.

My boy had a huge one in his Civic and it bumped hard. He had a smaller one and blew it tho. I think for the money they are decent, the boxes and carpet is finished quite nicely.

If a year or so goes by and his is still kicking, maybe I'll go that route for subs. Not sure if Id want 10s or 12s though. I listen to a mix of stuff. I do lean more toward rock and metal :D. Guess we shall see.

The gm kicker was ok for me. Like what u have , there are better options price wise and will be comparable in performance.

I like the idea and size. It should be comparable to the gm kicker sub performance wise.

For my application, I would be worried with beating up the grill and would have stuff laying on top of it. I have quite a bit of stuff in the back seat when I go to work.

I am toying with the idea of a down firing sub or the gm kicker for the protection. One issue I see with the down fire is if the center hump might get in the way. Easy solution is add some spacers on the sub box legs.

I noticed something kind of weird with the app last night. When I am on Carplay and listening to Apple Music, it makes a big difference based on which mode you are in on the Infiniti app. But I tested it while just listening to Sirius XM and there was no difference at all. I figured it would be the other way around since Infiniti claims it doesn't really work on Carplay yet.

Well maybe we found my answer...all I listen to is XM and nothing else. Anyone seeing anything similar to @Govols83 ?

I can only attest to Pandora and it’s definitely better. I think XM broadcasts lower quality via satellite vs the app, unless I’m mistaken.
