Infiniti audio app

I noticed something kind of weird with the app last night. When I am on Carplay and listening to Apple Music, it makes a big difference based on which mode you are in on the Infiniti app. But I tested it while just listening to Sirius XM and there was no difference at all. I figured it would be the other way around since Infiniti claims it doesn't really work on Carplay yet.
On SiriusXM, you need to go back into the stock EQ and adjust those settings to make it work better omce you set the Infinitiapp for Bluetooth apps.. Also the way they pack their music is more variable, really depends on the song. I've had really good sound on SiriusXM too, but inconsistent. Also a PIA if you toggle between the two.

I can only attest to Pandora and it’s definitely better. I think XM broadcasts lower quality via satellite vs the app, unless I’m mistaken.
It is, but it's also affected by stock GM EQ too. When I do the same on my sxs, the inconsistency is not as noticeable. I believe its because I am controlling both via the Samsung EQ on my phone, with Bluetooth apps.

Not working for Barry Manilow ;)

Works for Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, George Straight, Medageth, Metallica, Ozzy, Van Halen, and Tom Petty though! Sometimes you gotta make bigger adjustments!

Open the Play Store on your Radio screen in the truck. I went to "all apps" and scrolled until I saw it. Installed and went from there.
Thanks, I installed the app. Doesn't seem to be any different. Will drive around a bit to see if I can detect any differences. One thing that seems to be strange, now I don't see any song/album info on the screen. Does this app negate that feature?

I had to press "allow" for it to load album art in the app. but the normal page on the right side always has displayed art for me. One thing to Note SecurityGuy said it didn't work for him but he said he used SiriusXM. I listen to carplay mostly and I can tell the difference when switching from default to custom in the infiniti app.

It works fine for Sirius, you have to adjust them separately and also use the standard EQ or they will sound different.

Securityguy wasn't able to get it to load on his rig.

I didn’t notice any sound difference after installing the Infiniti app, so I uninstalled it. Now sound and album artwork won’t display. Been thru the menu several times but don’t seem to be able to get it back. Any help would be appreciated.

Do a soft reboot of the infotainment system, by holding down the end call button for 10 seconds.

Thanks, tried that. It didn’t work…..
Unplug the negative battery cable for a few minutes.

Did you have a recent OTA update? My wife's Tahoe did one last week and she said he system wasn't working as well. I haven't investigated yet.

May need a dealer trip for system software update/refresh!

Haven’t had a software update since early January. When checking software says up to date.

I went out to look at the software in my 24 HD and 23 Tahoe and both those turds are still running Android 10 and say they are up to date.

Neither one shows the Infiniti App in the Play Store. So if your not running Android 12, I don't believe you'll see this app.

I updated my settings/apps, cleared my phone and re added it, and did the soft reboot and re-signed in to no avail.

Fortunately, these systems sound better than my 22 did before it updated to Android 12. That happened when I had a new ECU installed after they smoked it during 6.2L recall software update.

So unless you get a dealer installed software update, which includes Android 12, I don't think you're getting the app.

Yes, unfortunately I think you're right. I have Android 10 on my 22 ZR2 and can not find the app listed at all. However, I have a Hideaway sub under my rear seat and I am happy with the overall sound of the system, so, no need for me to fight to get the Infiniti app.

Installed this in my 26 last night and almost immediately uninstalled it. While I did notice a change in the sound, there was too much inconsistency. Some songs sounded great while others were worse with bass coming in too hot. Spent more time adjusting things up and down instead of just listening. The stock stereo is still a huge let down compared to my 22 at4hd, but at least I don’t have to constantly adjust the eq like I was doing with the Infiniti app. Now I’m looking at some of these under the seat kicker subs. Been out of the car stereo scene since I had a wall of 12’s in the back of my 2000 s10. Might give one of these a shot.

Hmm, I would suggest a reset from the settings menu inside the infotainment. Strange that you lost that functionality
