This may be a dumb question but wondering if anyone knows what the yellow means on the tachometer. Not the incremental marks, but the yellow color that changes with speed and / or RPM . I'm not talking about the tach needle (rpm indicator). But there's a yellow color that shows up on the incremental hash marks. (I circled it in the picture - but note that I'm in PARK and not driving at that moment). I searched the owners manual but it doesn't say anything about that. Note... when I'm cruising at 60 mph, the bottom set of incremental hash marks are yellow and the RPM needle is up around 1800 (so I don't think it has anything to do with current RPM). On a side note, this is the smoothest shifting truck I've owned. 2025 Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison

It looks like the recommended idle range to me?
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Idle range..... when driving at 60mph? I do think it corresponds with the amount of work the engine is doing. But I was curious what it is actually indicating.

I'm talking about if a technician sets the idle in the truck, it supposed to fall in this range. I'm guessing of course. Maybe if the tech would change the fuel pump, etc.

I believe it just highlights the rpm range truck is in, speedo lights up same way. Congrats on new ride!
