I believe that it has just been released on the market - but I wanted to see if anyone here had any experience with the Tectonic hard cover. I'm REALLY leaning towards that one for my new tonneau cover. My previous truck was an Avalanche, and I really got used to being able walk on, or haul stuff on top of the tonneau cover.

It's around the same price as the high-end retractable covers (expensive), appears to be quite waterproof, and has more flexibility of use / removal than some of the similar Diamondback covers.

Any experience / advice / wisdom is greatly appreciated !!!

So I did pull the trigger on the Tectonic. They are made-to-order, and after a few weeks lead-time … it arrived and I installed it this week! Absolutely LOVE it so far, and think it has the perfect aggressive / strong look for the back of our trucks!

How was the install? They make it look super easy on their video.

It is just as easy as it is in their video - amazingly well designed. Put down the bulkhead seal at the front of the bed, torque down 4 clamps per side, place the center panel on the rails, in my case I had to adjust the roller cartridges underneath to prevent racking while rolling (the 2nd install video on their website), then stack the other 2 panels & lock in the hinges. Probably about an hour overall. The latches on the front & back panel align and work perfectly, and the seals are tight & waterproof all the way around the perimeter.

I made one error installing mine - I was a little "overzealous" in applying downward pressure on the rail itself when torqueing down the clamps, and that deformed / distorted the shape of the rubber seal enough that it was rubbing on the bottom of the center panel when sliding the panel on the rail. Had to go back and loosen clamps, let the rail sit in a more natural position, and just apply thumb-pressure downward at the outer edge of the rubber seal while torqueing.

Super happy with the Tectonic thus far !!!

Looks nice. My neighbor has the original Peragon and he's very happy with it. For me, I don't like covers that don't sit flush with the bed rail. I'm a stickler for a sleek looking truck. I'm very happy with my BAK MX4 cover. Had it a year and zero issues. Very strong and it opens all the way up the rear window and allows me to fully utilize the bed length with items taller than the bed rail.
