Picking up my 2026 HD ZR2 Thursday evening!

Exciting times, congrats!! Looks sharp. I really like the black bow tie….that might look good on my new truck .

I should be able to finally pick up my new unit

People are doing it everyday my friend. Would have zero issues at all. LOVING this truck!
Are you people?

You sold a good tow rig and got a lumbering POS Furd. That thing couldn't haul my lunch pail!

Well Captain, don't let these bedwetters ruin your fun! While they never look perfect like day 1, they can look pretty good, even if you "abuse" them by doing normal truck stuff.

I got mine cleaned up after all my adventures the past 6 months. Logged about 5k towing and some offroading to get to adventure land.

Went back to the scene of the crime where I first abused my truck for these photos. Should have climbed that hill again, but didn'twant to hurt the sensitive types.......LOL.

You know what's scary, AXE! This Furd F-250 loaded Platinum Tremor drives better, is 100% more comfortable, tremendous power, has an AWESOME infotainment system that loads CarPlay in 5 seconds with no auto muting, and drives better than my 2500 High Country. I am still a GM guy and will come back when GM get's their $hit together but, for now, my F-250 is a far superior vehicle in most every way. You can continue to be a "Brand Dick" and bad mouth every other truck/brand and say whatever you want, but I have zero complaints thus far and love driving it every day.

Maybe...maybe one day you'll just be happy for people versus being an ASS...I mean AXE ;)

Let’s reel this one back in a bit, guys. Please keep posts related to the original topic.

If you’d like to continue the side discussion, please start a separate thread. Thanks!

Nice truck, OP. Enjoy it.

As far as the new F250 goes. My F250 6.7 HO Lariat was the absolute worst truck I've ever owned.

Everyone will have an opinion on everything. There are great F-250s and crappy F-250s. There are great 1500-2500 ZR2s and crappy ZR2s. There are great RAMs and crappy RAMs. Truly luck of the draw in today's world. I loved my 1500 ZR2 and I loved my 2500HD Duramax. Enjoyed driving them both. Were they perfect vehicles? We all know they are not and have their issues. Sorry to hear your F-250 was horrible. I didn't go diesel this time around and did the 7.3L Godzilla motor and it's very impressive. So far, I am extremely happy with my F-250 Platinum Tremor. Things can and will change and we all deal with the cards we're dealt when your card comes up. I am not a GM hater...far from it and my next truck will, most likely, be another 2500HD with a gasser engine based on what GM does to their trucks in 2028-2029. If they make a fully deleted Duramax, that may be my next motor. I have over 1,000,000 GM points I'll need to use which gives me one hell of a discount :D For now, just trying something else because I can and my experience has been a positive one. I hope you all enjoy your trucks and that all of us have a trouble free experience.

I agree! I noticed some of these worms derailed this new guy's thread right after I posted my compliment on his shiny new truck in post number four. Some guys are just complete tools and just shitposting about random stuff that doesn't matter on a ZR2 offroad truck forum, even strange Furd stuff being compared to standard 2500HDs is trying to be rationalized.

Meanwhile other guys other guys are continuing to post ZR2 specifc information to help others and actively posting new content that hopefully will benefit forum members in the future.

Please keep an eye out for my new thread to be titled. TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE and PAN MODIFICATION. It should be a good option for those that like to twist a wrench and do their own maintenance.

Can somebody let @securityguy know that his 10,000 points are worth $100. He's gonna freak if if I do it.

I actually have 1,000,706 points. Meant to say over 1,000,000 points...sorry and I corrected my above post to reflect the change. Thanks for pointing this out! With my card, the 1,000,706 points are valued at over $10,000 off my next vehicle. I typically charge about $5-$10K a month on this card.

"1,000,706 GM reward points are generally worth approximately $10,007 when redeemed for high-value options, such as toward the purchase or lease of a new vehicle"

Can someone let @securityguy know he now has $1,000 to spend. If he chages his post to 1,000,000 points, he'll have $10k to spend. Math's are hard, please correct me if I'm wrong!

My update is above. You are correct that I will receive, if I turned them in today, over $10,000 towards my next truck. In another 2 years, it will be worth well over $20,000.

You should just say fuck it and go for $30k!
If I wait another 2-3 years to get rid of the FURD, that may very well happen. I saved in points over $5000 on my ZR2 and over $6500 on my 2500HD. These cards are great if you're good with not getting "real money" back in points every month or airline miles, etc. Buying new vehicles every 2 years, give or take, makes it totally worth using this card for all of my purchases and take the big discount at purchase time.

I feel bad for those that have SPIRIT AIRLINES cards 😥

I never seem to get much from my GM points after all I've spent with them. I've used them for some accessories and parts. I just ordered a replacement fender protector cause I had a nice gouge in it. I did feel good about the fact it was almost no cost, but I think they chewed up my 11k of remaining points.

I usually use my Bass Pro/Cabelas card and get some free gear. Used to get a lot when I could use it for work. I don't seem to get much nowadays and seems like it accumulates slowly.

Maybe I should switch to the GM Card, I don't need much more shit from Cabelas anyway.

OP, sorry to derail. 😂

We all know that AXE has an oedipus complex so we all just deal with it ;)

On a serious note here are the issues I had with my F250.

1. Radio sucked. XM would fire up and I couldn't change the station. Had to turn the truck off and let it reset itself. It would sometimes go completely black. And almost every time till the last update (I had it in to the dealer 5 times) it would start on the settings screen. Very annoying.

2. You would walk up, key in hand, and the door wouldn't unlock on its own like it should. I often would pull the handle 3 or 4 times before it would unlock. Once in a while it was perfect.

3. GPS would go nuts. It would stick and then catch up after a few miles. Sometimes it would just turn itself off without notice.

4. Center console creaked like an old bed in a brothel.

5. It would lose connection with my phone sometimes every couple minutes and the other times be fine for an entire drive.

6. Transmission in the diesel is garbage. I personally know 5 people who have the transmission replaced. Mine was going for a 2nd replacement at 30k miles. Highway driving helps save them but if you spend a lot of time in the 3/4/5/6 gears, you will have issues. You're is a gasser so you should be fine there. Just be mindful of cam and lifter failure in the gassers. It's very real.

7. The AC had a mind of its own. It would sometimes start blowing colder and harder for no reason at all.

8. You would hit the auto down window and it would go part way down and then back up on its own. It would do this maybe 10% of the time.

The smallest bit of damage to the bed and you're replacing the entire side. If there is a single break in the "military grade aluminum", get ready for a monster bill. Pretty much no fixing body panels, full replacement. The hood is more flimsy than the hood on a $1,800 lawn mower from Tractor Supply. Cab corners are plastic covers. Multiple reasons why I know but still, plastic. The interior knobs are the cheapest plastic made to sort of look like metal that money can buy.

No truck is perfect and if I could take bits of Ford, Ram and Chevy to make a truck, I would. But an $88k truck to be that big of a POS is absolutely ridiculous. The power was great and it got good mileage. Other than that, junk. I'm no brand but swinger. I've owned Ford, Ram, Nissan, and Chevy. Same with my cars. I've owned many brands.

What year was your Ford?

I've went over top of some 12-14 inch diameter sticks.
