I went to the Detroit 4Fest this past weekend at Holly Oaks ORV Park in Michigan, and flat out crushed the oval side steps that came with my 2023 Silverado ZR2 (I was planning on getting something new anyhow, so I didn't care). A friend of mine has the steps shown below from Rockslide Engineering on his Gladiator, but OF COURSE they don't make them for any Chevrolet truck. Aries is the only other company I can find that makes something similar, but there's looks more like an encased AMP step, and it says right on their website that they're not a replacement for sliders - not sure I would trust them sliding over a rock anyhow. I ended up ordering DV8 steps, but if someone had a better idea, I'm all ears.

I also reached out to Rockslide to see if they're ever going to make a step for the Chevrolet. They have no plans to create a step for any Chevrolet vehicle.

Sliders tuck right up tight on the rocker panel and give you the protection for offroading. There are some with removable steps for offroading, so they function for entry and protection.

I run the AMPs on my 2500HD and they are stout and drop just the right amount. Look good and functions well, but they wouldn't survive any heavy contact. I wouldn't run them on the 1500, but I think @danigirldid and she likes the setup.
