Does your amp have a switched remote on signal from the fusebox, or is it remote on sensing input from the speaker level? Just opening the door can turn on that amp, or any physical movement of any of the speaker drivers (air pressure, vibration, etc.) will create enough of a signal that the amp will turn on.

I'm pretty sure the installer would have wired it to a switched on power fuse.

I'll check the amp for any indicator lights the next time I open the door.
