Parasitic Draw -- Dead Battery

Does your amp have a switched remote on signal from the fusebox, or is it remote on sensing input from the speaker level? Just opening the door can turn on that amp, or any physical movement of any of the speaker drivers (air pressure, vibration, etc.) will create enough of a signal that the amp will turn on.
I'm pretty sure the installer would have wired it to a switched on power fuse.

I'll check the amp for any indicator lights the next time I open the door.

Huh? Are you sayin' that account is a bot, or that dude just copy pasta'd some AI generated BS from a Google search?
Yes, that account is a software bot backed my Machine Learning. We’ve had them on here before. They are designed to modify your position on topics, brands, products, way of thinking, etc. It is going to get worse over the coming years. You can spot them because their posts are “off” in some way as ML is still being dialed in.

Odd. Why not just ban the account?

I don't get it.

I’ll defer that to the mods. I remember when Elon bought Twitter he said he purged over 1 million bots and fake accounts. Eventually every forum will have auto bot detection and purging as the problem is going to get worse.
Thanks for posting that Tex. I did not catch it. AI sucks in my opinion, because I'm afraid of it and I don't understand it either!

Correct! One key aspect of bots is frequently taking the counternposition and introducing crap information that may or may not pertain to the discussion. One things for certain, it's always information you've seen posted or presented in past articles. Never an original thought or organic post.

Peiple get mad when I call out the bots. I've even got DMs telling me I should be nicer to them.........LMFAO......nice bot, good boy!

Because most of the factory connections to integrate an aftermarket amp are located behind the back seat next to the factory amp, a shocking number of professional installers won't bother to run a dedicated 12v switched lead from the fusebox back to the amp location. This is likely not your culprit, just an observation since you mentioned an aftermarket amp was installed. Hope you find the problem.

Yeah taking the battery out was a pain in the ass..... I took mine out to do some wiring for the rock lights and the side shooter spots I added to the overland rack last year. Not a good placement to remove such a heavy battery. On another note about the battery drain.... the only time I've ever had an issue with any of my aftermarket parts is when I accidentally left the rear light bar mounted on my rack on overnight. My window tint is 5% and at night when I back my truck into the carport parking space, I turn the back light bar on to see better..... Just forgot to turn it off that one night. I got sidetracked because I had items in the backseat to take out and just forgot but never again! I always make sure everything's off before I park it.
I'm very particular about the work I have done on the truck, especially when it comes to the wiring because I don't want an issue with the dealership. I always choose a slightly larger gauge wire than needed, I use heat shrink crimp connectors and an additional layer of heat shrink over the connections and then wire loom on top of all of it. Some of these shops that install aftermarket products or amps have installers that just don't care or are trying to work as quickly as possible because they get paid piecemeal work. If I were to ever let anyone else work on my truck, I'm the type of guy that would be looking over your shoulder making sure I was happy with the work. My dad always instilled in me the importance of doing a high quality job to the best of my ability and pristine maintenance on items of value. Some people think I go overboard, but then ask my opinion when there 1/2 ass ways fail. Do it once and do it right!
