Well she blew up guys!

I had one Dodge pickup in my life. A 98 1500 SLT Laramie with the 5.9 Magnum V8. In 2 years of owning it, I went through 3 transmissions and 4 sets of front rotors. When I put the 3rd transmission in, the very next day I went to a Chevy dealer and traded it for a 2008 Chevy 1500 LT and never looked back. I'll never own another Dodge/Chrysler product again unless it's absolutely the last resort. Owned nothing but Chevy trucks ever since then.

I go take mine in next month. I have the 24 Bison. Only 7k miles so far. Got mine last December. I want the 2500 or baby max, just because of these issues. My wife doesn’t like how big the 2500 is. But trading the 6.2 for the baby max and new payments isn’t something fun.

The Babymax is also having it's share of issues and folks are saying to stay clear of the 3.0.

So I have to convince the old lady we need the big boy. Lol
I went that route after a 6.2 and then 3.0, both zr2. I would honestly buy the 3.0 again without hesitation. The HD provides much more towing capacity, no auto stop/start, and no cylinder deactivation which are certainly pluses. I’ve also had 10 HD duramaxes starting with the LLY so am familiar with their “issues” and go in eyes wide open.

But, they too have issues as previously stated. Having said that, go on any GM truck or SUV forum and scroll through…you will quickly see the volumes per option, and make your own choices accordingly.

Yep. I see more and more complaints about them now too. 2500HD transmissions and other stuff too. There really isn't a safe Haven.

Absent my ongoing concerns about the safety of occupants, I've just decided you get what you get nowadays and have to sort it out along the way.

Sadly, just as @TexOffroader said, not sure the manufacturers will improve cause people just keep buying so there's no incentive.
