What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

I have looked at mine sitting with a locked up motor twice as I drove by the dealership it is at.
Bummer! Mine sat for 2 months 1200 miles away because it died while on a trip to Texas. Thankfully it was near family and they were able to pick it up when it was ready. But talk about frustrating... especially when the dealer only called me once to update me and at the end to tell me it was done. I had to call every week for an update.

Got new Pod Holes installed in the rear bumper finally. Best upgrade yet. Clean look and fit nicely in the step insert. Pod Holes new harness allows for back up lights in reverse, huge difference, it's like having an extra set of headlights in the rear. I can clearly see around the truck now. Shout out to @OCZR2 for the tip on getting the inserts out cleanly. Pics are lights in reverse, task lighting then standing outside the truck.

After our last adventure, I found that having my recovery gear deep in the bed is a pita to get out. Have to pull a bunch of stuff from the bed to get to my recovery boards and straps/ropes. I added a recovery board mount under the platform to throw the boards up there when we trail run, other days it's tucked and locked away in the bed. Easy access but not in your face overland dude around town.

Not sure if you know this but. . . . If you dont get stuck you dont need recovery gear.
Boom Roasted!!

Back it at with the guys at Alpha Off Road, finally got my front bumper widened to line up with my wide body!! I’ve been waiting to have that void filled!!! LMAO!!!

What else have I done recently?!?! Out with all the vinyl, gold badges, emblems, bedside stripe. Did the bedside stripe in red (paint) and went back to factory black and red badges. Also did the rear and partial bed sides in satin black paint! I also painted my carbon fiber wide body front fenders GM factory black. Still need to wet sand some runs and orange peel when I have the time…

Future projects: some more painting to do on the bedsides and hood. Gonna have much less carbon exposed rather than full panels for a more cohesive look.

Thinking Christmas to myself will be a set of 37” Nitto Recon Grapplers.
What front bumper is that??

Found it during my countless hours of down time while deployed early last year. Wasn’t a whole lot out for the ZR2 trim Silverado, there’s a few more out now but still not much to choose from. I wanted something different and didn’t want to go with ADD.

I got mine with the bull bar from BSM.

Was a pain to contact and make payments but not impossible, clearly.

I’m happy with it, it’s surely made my ZR2 a one off stateside; along with my other mods…

I nearly learned this the hard way on a beach once- tide was about 3 feet from my door by the time I got unstuck.
