Interesting Auto Stop Phenomena

Very interesting. After reading this Friday. I turned off the HVAC system when driving around all weekend, Auto Stop did not function a single time. The toggle switch light is still on, so it’s active. I’m thinking there is a possibility that the ECU flash eliminated it?

It's with much sadness I'm hear to report that my Auto Stop function is functioning again. Looks like dealership ECU flash did not eliminate it.

You can't eliminate it with a dealer flash. You need to buy a Start Stop device to eliminate it once and for all. I originally posted this several years ago and Demon made a video.

This is another option as well.

There was also one you hook up at the battery that several of us purchased. Don’t remember the name but supper easy to install. I’m sure its listed somewhere on this forum.

That's the one I posted above in #22 my friend I introduced that to the forum several years ago.

Yep That one works great and is low cost if you donxt want to kill the DFM. I used it before the Range DFM module came out.

My auto stop stopping working after the update was completed a couple of months ago. Driving it yesterday and this morning after the battery was replaced the auto stop started working again. The service report only indicated that the battery was replaced, guess it was a good run for a few months with it not working.

Put the old battery back in.....
