What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

Once you set the collars finger tight, may want to use some pliers to make them snug. Mine spun when I was screwing then the valve stem. Had to tighten a bit more but now they’re fine. Also, when I tested them, figured out they need normal tire pressure to kick them off. I was deflating and then back inflating to 5 over to save time, but they wouldn’t kick back on. Had to inflate about 10 over what I wanted it to stop at, if that makes sense.
Yeah same thing..... I believe it's because the compressor pump gets warm it reads a higher setting than the actual number in the tire. The ones I've been using that I showed in the link drain the air extremely quickly but I cannot set a stop pressure. I have to physically remove it from the valve stem. Having a system that you can set an exact pressure and walk away and not have to worry about getting back to the tire without it going flat is ideal

Had bags on my 22 at4 3500. Made it ride like a brick. On my zr2 I went with the tembren bumps and road active system...way smoother
I've put air bags on a super duty and have them currently on my 3500.
I haven't had any issues.
I run 5 to 10 psi unloaded.
The 5th wheel weight is 12768 lbs empty.
150 gal water alone, loaded?

Same...kept 5-10 pounds unloaded..pulling my camper 15,500 ish the ride was terrible. And that was on a bds coil.over conversion with fox 2.5's.

Finally put fender flares on my 1500 ZR2. They don't make fender flares specifically for the ZR2 so I had to get fender flares for a regular Silverado and custom cut and fit the front fender flares because of the different front fenders and bumper that are on the ZR2. What do you all think? Should I leave them flat black or paint them gloss black to match the truck?

Oh man, I love those. Which ones are those that you cut?

Might have been the fox valving?
Might be I'm lucky.
Campers are notorious for making any vehicle vehicle handle crap.
I also like that I can put more air in to raise the trailer/hitch off road to avoid tongue jack damage from dragging
I'll post up if it rides like shit.
The 3500 tows great on bags with the cognito lift.
(I don't recommend cognito)

I can't find the receipt to see where I got them. There is a thread about fender flares here somewhere. I posted the link in that thread.

I like the flat and gloss contrast... Makes them pop! But like @AXE said, gloss is probably easier to keep clean... Nonetheless they look great 👍

Thank you! I'm still debating on taking them off to get them color matched, but installing them the first time was kind of a pain in the ass so not sure if I wanna go thru all of that again. Took me a little while to get them right. Worried that if I take them off I won't be able to get them back on exactly the same way and they won't look right.

As for now, I' m pretty happy with the flat black, gloss black contrast, so maybe I should just leave well enough alone. Don't fix what ain't broke, right?

Out with the old 33” and on with 35” tires. Opted for 285/75-18 to get the true 35 inch tire. I had already installed the Peak 1/2” bumper spacers, so no rub there. I followed @AXE trimming suggestions on the rear portion of the front wheel well with a little more cutting of the bracket to pull the liner back a bit more.

Oh look, another Boost Auto Lumastep owner :D

I just installed size 295/70/18 BFG KO3s. Completely stock and no rubbing so far including at full lock backing over the mountable curb at end of driveway. Like the look better than the stock Territorys and quieter on the highway too.

I feel a little inadequate after The_Qs post but I've been told size doesnt matter!
