First Long tow Results in HDZR2

same keys. my starting measurements were about the same as your ending measurements. but those gave the truck about 3/4" lift.

Hmm not sure why they are so different. I didn't lift mine at all. I put the ride height back to the original stock height. I mean mine might be 1/4" higher because I just meassure off the bottom of the fender wells. My truck has 21k miles. So my tires have probably 15k on them since I took my original measurements before i chaged the bars. Close enough for me, lol. But I definitely didn't lift it at those measurements.

would you mind posting you round to fender measurements? i am still dialing mine in. i tried the key again, and the passenger side is till a solid 1/2" higher fully unloaded. it is interesting there is such a difference. have not had that much on any of these trucks i have had

Np, I took my measurements from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well in the center. Stock mine was 42 5/8". When I changed the bars I adjusted them to put the height back to the same. I went by the same height when i chaged the keys. That's why i said mine might be a hair taller then stock, because of the tire wear.

Top of my tire to the bottom of the fender well in the center is 9 3/8" I'm sure you know but once you adjust them you have to run it down the road for everything to settle. That's part of why I measured it like that. Just easier and quicker lol

When you crank the torsion bars, the opposite rear corner is resisting and also changing. If you not sitting perfectly flat and smooth concrete, it will also have bearing on the adjustment. Generally better to do them a little at a time and drive it and recheck.

Also take some measurements from the frame to the ground front and rear. The frame is the foundation and theoretically the most square. Your body mounts can have variability and you may never get an accurate measurement from the body panels. Most recently this has been noted on the beds, with several people having their beds remounted to correct them.
